Salted Lime or Salted Grapefruit?

Two citrus profiles. Here is how to choose your first Beach House.

Choose Salted Lime for a zesty, crisp finish. Choose Salted Grapefruit for juicy citrus with a gently bittersweet edge. Both contain real tequila and a touch of salt, in a 355 ml sleek can at 5% alc./vol.

For a sharper citrus profile

Salted Lime is the more direct of the two: bright lime, clean tequila character and a subtle savoury finish. If a squeeze of lime is your usual addition to a drink, start here.

Serve it cold from the can, or pour it over ice. Taste it before adding a garnish; the citrus and salt are already part of the recipe.

For a rounder fruit note

Salted Grapefruit brings a juicier opening and a gently bittersweet edge. It is a good starting point if you enjoy grapefruit’s combination of fruit and bite.

The difference is about flavour as well as sweetness. Salted Grapefruit has 2g of sugar and 105 calories per can; Salted Lime has 1g and 100 calories.

Choosing for a table of friends

Offer both flavours and let guests choose. Keep the cans chilled and the labels visible so nobody has to guess what is being poured.

Neither flavour needs mixing. Have ice, glasses, water and an alcohol-free option available, and keep the serving simple.
